Customer Supply Chain Coordinator in Hythe End

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with an established and highly successful food manufacturing business to recruit a Customer Supply Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team in Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring customers receive a consistently high level of service, coordinating orders, managing stock availability and working closely with production, logistics and commercial teams to ensure deliveries run smoothly.

The Role:

• Manage customer orders from initial processing through to delivery and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, building positive relationships and responding professionally to enquiries, order changes and delivery queries.
• Work closely with production facilities, distribution centres and external logistics providers to coordinate stock availability and customer deliveries.
• Proactively identify and resolve supply chain challenges, including stock shortages, delivery discrepancies and changing customer requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate potential supply issues to customers and relevant internal teams.
• Investigate discrepancies relating to orders, deliveries and invoices, coordinating appropriate resolutions.
• Prepare and analyse reports covering sales performance, stock availability, customer demand and delivery performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase supply chain efficiency, minimise waste and maintain excellent customer service levels.

About You:

• Previous experience in Customer Supply, Supply Chain Administration, Customer Service, Order Management or a similar position.
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience processing customer orders and managing changes relating to stock availability, deliveries and transport.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP/order management system would be advantageous
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to resolve issues and work collaboratively across departments.
