Customer Support Specialist

Jobwise Ltd

Do you have a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and genuinely listened to?

If you enjoy talking to people, building relationships and making a real difference every day, this Customer Support Specialist role could be the perfect fit.

We're recruiting for a fast-growing and ambitious business looking to expand their friendly team with a compassionate Customer Support Specialist. This is much more than a typical customer service role - you'll be supporting customers who have already enquired about claiming a government benefit, helping them take the first step towards accessing the financial support they may be entitled to.

A genuinely rewarding role where you'll finish each day knowing you've helped someone access support that could make a real difference to their life.

What will you be doing as a Customer Support Specialist?

  • Speaking with customers over the phone throughout the day, handling inbound enquiries and following up warm leads (no cold calling)
  • Building trust and rapport with older customers, making them feel comfortable, supported and understood
  • Clearly explaining the service and answering questions with patience and empathy
  • Handling objections confidently and guiding customers through the next steps
  • Managing your own pipeline of enquiries using the CRM system
  • Booking suitable customers into appointments with the Claims Processing team

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Whether you've worked as a Customer Service Advisor, Customer Experience Advisor, Contact Centre Advisor, Call Centre Advisor, Telesales Executive, Appointment Setter or in another telephone-based customer service role, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll have:

  • A confident, engaging and friendly telephone manner
  • The ability to quickly build rapport and gain people's trust
  • Clear, easy-to-understand communication skills
  • A kind, compassionate and patient approach
  • Confidence using a CRM system and managing your own workload
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help people

What will you get in return for your work as a Customer Support Specialist?

  • £26,000 - £30,000 salary
  • Monday 9am-6pm, Tuesday - Friday 9am-5pm
  • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Optional overtime paid at time and a half
  • Full training and ongoing coaching
  • Excellent career progression within a rapidly growing business - the company actively develops people based on their strengths and interests and is happy to create opportunities as the business grows
  • Opportunity to progress into a Claims Processor role after your initial training
  • Future bonus and reward scheme currently being introduced
  • Planned private medical cover as the business grows
  • Join a young, supportive team that genuinely celebrates success and helps each other develop
