Purpose of the Role:
To provide assistance to the account manager for the external and internal development of the nominated customers in accordance with the strategic and tactical plan established by the Management Team, including quality and efficiency improvements linked to specific Customer/Account Plans.
To provide the customer service and operational organizations with daily support within the organization and network in terms of execution of agreed plans and customer specified demands.
To build and maintain a relationship with nominated customers, locally, regionally and globally.
This is a Mon to Fri Role 9-530pm Salary up to £44 Location - Heathrow
Duties Include:
- Responsible for effective/efficient working practices with the customers.
- Constantly looking to improve margins (reduce costs – increase profits)
- All day to day operational activities for named account
- Oversee and manage SLA and contracts between us and client to ensure customs compliance at all times.
- Responsible for extensive reporting including monthly customs reports
- Execution of strategic plans to develop and maintain long-term partnership with the customer and their nominated stakeholders.
- Attend meetings on and off site to develop relationship with customer and other stakeholders
- Working with supply chain management teams where applicable.
- Control over customer interactions in the form of volumes, revenues, and also profitability. All of these are measured on a monthly basis
Must Have:
- Experience in commercial and customer service activities with a proven success record
- In-depth customs knowledge including customs badge systems
- Well experienced in the freight forwarding and logistics industry
- Excellent communication and language skills (English)
The individual should have a minimum of 5 years senior level freight and customs experience, as well as be familiar with the principles and practise of freight and supply chain management, with strong knowledge on customs regimes
Working knowledge of the international transportation and customs is vital. Familiarity with the financial aspects of the relevant local economy as well as international market conditions and trends, and international business issues, including currency factors and cultural differences.
