Your responsibilities may include:

  • Working with technical specialists across areas such as Identity & Access Management, Security Testing, Privacy, and Cloud Security.
  • Supporting workshops and meetings with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contributing to security audits, reviews, and assurance activities.
  • Researching emerging technologies, cyber threats, and security best practices.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in candidates who have a passion for cyber security and technology, with some experience gained through industry, consulting, government, defence, higher education, apprenticeships, or personal development.

You may have experience in some of the following areas:

  • Cyber Security, Information Security, Security Architecture, Infrastructure, Network Security, or Cloud Security.
  • Security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or Cyber Essentials.
  • Risk assessment, security analysis, or threat modelling.
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, or secure software development practices.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, authentication, encryption, and access controls.
  • Producing technical documentation, reports, or architecture diagrams.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CISSP Associate, CCSK, Azure Security, AWS Security).
  • Exposure to architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SABSA.
  • Experience working within Defence, Government, or regulated environments.
  • Awareness of Government cyber security requirements and secure-by-design principles.
  • Experience with cloud security and modern security technologies.
