Help children and families access clear, evidence-based outcomes as a Children & Young People’s ASD Assessor. This Autism Assessor role places your clinical reasoning at the centre of a well-supported multidisciplinary pathway.

As a Children & Young People’s ASD Assessor, you will work alongside a stable clinical team with robust leadership, established governance and clear escalation routes. This continuity supports consistent assessments, confident diagnostic decisions and successful outcomes for families and commissioning partners.


Package & Benefits

• £45,000 to £50,000 per annum.

• NHS-aligned pension.

• CPD and study leave.

• Full-time or part-time Monday-to-Friday hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured autism assessments aligned with governed clinical pathways.

• Gather evidence from families, schools and relevant professionals.

• Contribute to MDT formulation and defensible diagnostic decisions.

• Produce neurodiversity-affirming reports and communicate outcomes sensitively.


About You

• Current NMC, HCPC or equivalent relevant professional registration.

• Significant experience within neurodevelopmental, CAMHS or paediatric services.

• Direct experience contributing to CYP autism assessment pathways.
