D365 F&O Functional Consultant
Location: Windsor, UK (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite initially)
Contract: 6 Months
Day Rate: £465 per day (Inside IR35)

We are recruiting for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant to join a major enterprise transformation programme for a leading organisation in the UK.

As the Functional Consultant, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to refine and deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions that meet business requirements. You will play a key role in translating business needs into functional designs while supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with business owners and development teams to refine Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions.
  • Advise business stakeholders on how to transform business processes using Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Oversee the implementation of the F&O project.
  • Design, manage and implement multiple functional aspects of the solution.
  • Work closely with technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Perform functional testing, end-to-end process testing and integration testing using Postman.
  • Support Agile delivery through workshops, backlog refinement and sprint planning.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–6 years' experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant.
  • 12+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations capabilities and limitations.
  • Experience with Direct Debit processes.
  • Strong experience across Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules.
  • Full lifecycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementation experience.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and gathering business requirements.
  • Experience writing Epics, Features and User Stories within Agile environments.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem including Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience working independently as an individual contributor.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within the Energy industry.
  • Experience working with multiple vendors on large transformation programmes.
