D365 Power Platform Developer

Elevation Recruitment Group

Power Platform Developer (D365)
Location:
Sheffield
Salary: up to £55,000

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-regarded, long established business in Sheffield which has recently gone live on a heavily customised D365 CE implementation. Built by external consultants, the platform now needs an internal expert to take the reins - reducing reliance on third parties and driving real business value through continuous improvement.

Reporting to a Digital Transformation lead, you'll work alongside an internal PM and a small IT team, with the autonomy to do this your way.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conducting a health check of the existing D365 build and working through a backlog of user stories in Azure DevOps.
  • Absorbing knowledge from the outgoing consultants and reducing key-man dependency across the platform.
  • Engaging end users across multiple business entities to understand how the system is being used - and where it can work harder.
  • Developing solutions using both low code Power Platform tools and custom code (JavaScript, C# plugins).
  • Building and maintaining dependency across the platform.
  • Engaging end users across multiple business entities to understand how the system is being used - and where it can work harder.
  • Developing solutions using both low-code Power Platform tools and custom code (JavaScript, C# plugins).
  • Building and maintaining integrations with SharePoint, SQL Server and Azure services.
  • Presenting progress and recommendations at senior leadership level - clear, commercial communication is key.
  • Identifying opportunities to extend the platform, replacing manual processes with Power Platform solutions.
  • Supporting and upskilling colleagues to build internal D365 capability over time.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven, hands on D365 CE and Dataverse experience including complex, customised implementations.
  • Strong Power Platform skills across Power Apps (model-driven and canvas) and Power Automate.
  • Custom development experience - JavaScript, and ideally C# plugins. Experience integrating D365 with SharePoint, SQL Server and Azure.
  • Full delivery lifecycle experience: development, testing, UAT and release.
  • Confident communicator - comfortable with end users and senior stakeholders alike.
  • Self-sufficient and commercially aware - you'll have support, not hand-holding.
  • A stable CV that demonstrates commitment - this role rewards longevity.

This is a genuine platform ownership role at a business with real ambition for what D365 can deliver. If you're the kind of person who wants to walk into a challenge, get under the bonnet and leave things better than you found them - we'd love to hear from you.
