Teach Now is expanding its team of reliable Daily Supply Teachers for primary schools across Camden. Whether you want two days each week, regular bookings around other commitments or a flexible route back into teaching, we will work with your availability.
Assignments may range from planned bookings to morning cover. You could teach Reception one day and Year 5 the next, so this opportunity is particularly well suited to adaptable teachers who quickly understand a school’s routines and establish a purposeful classroom.
- Delivering work prepared by the class teacher or school
- Maintaining positive behaviour and established classroom expectations
- Adapting explanations and activities where pupils need additional support
- Ensuring pupils remain safe, engaged and productive throughout the day
- Working constructively with teaching assistants and support staff
- Providing a clear handover on learning, behaviour and any concerns
- Following each school’s safeguarding, marking and operational procedures
- Representing yourself and Teach Now with professionalism
You must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
- Secure understanding of at least one primary phase
- Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
- The ability to follow plans and adapt confidently when circumstances change
- Professional reliability and good timekeeping
- The right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Two satisfactory professional references
Experience across more than one primary phase, including EYFS, is highly desirable.
