Are you an experienced Data Engineer looking for an opportunity to help shape and improve the way a growing international organisation uses data?
We're working with a well-established, technology-led organisation that is investing in its data and analytics capability. They are looking for a Data Engineer to join their Data Analytics team and play a key role in building reliable, scalable and reusable data solutions.

The Role
As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the data structures, pipelines and processes that support reporting and analytics across the organisation.
You'll work closely with Data Analysts, reporting specialists and business stakeholders to understand their requirements, integrate data from different systems and turn it into clean, reliable and reusable datasets.
You'll also have the opportunity to improve existing processes, automate manual tasks and contribute to the organisation's wider data strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain data structures to support analytics and reporting
- Develop reusable datasets and data models
- Build and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Integrate data from multiple source systems
- Monitor pipelines and investigate data quality issues
- Implement data validation and reconciliation processes
- Work with system owners to resolve data issues at source
- Maintain clear documentation around datasets, transformations and data lineage
- Work with analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions
- Improve the reliability, efficiency and timeliness of data processes
- Identify opportunities to automate and reduce duplication
- Help establish repeatable processes for onboarding new data sources
About You
We're looking for someone with proven Data Engineering experience who is comfortable working with data from multiple systems and turning it into structured, reliable and reusable datasets. You'll have strong SQL skills, along with experience in data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, relational or analytical databases, data quality and validation, and building and maintaining data pipelines.
Experience integrating multiple source systems will be important, while exposure to SAP / SAP BDC, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, Python, cloud data platforms or data governance would be advantageous. Experience working within a multinational organisation would also be beneficial.
