Data Protection Lead - with Privacy by design and CIPP/E/ CIPT/CIPM

hybrid flexible - either London/Bristol/Manchester

6 months - Starting asap

Rate £650 pd UMBRELLA

Location (hybrid) - can be London, Bristol or Manchester and hybrid working. There are no set days in office per week, however the team try to attend the London office every other Tuesday and would encourage the new workers to do the same

Level of Clearance - BPSS

Experience required:

Desirable qualifications would be any recognised privacy qualifications, such as CIPP/E, CIPT and CIPM
Experience with transformation or digital type projects on a large scale, ideally within government
Privacy/data privacy technology experience, having worked with developers/software engineers.
Experience embedding privacy by design in those areas
Strong stakeholder management experience and good interpersonal skills

ESSENTIAL
Good working knowledge of GDPR
Microsoft 365 proficiency
Able to work independently, while also remaining collaborative within the team
Confidently able to feed up to senior stakeholders, candidates must be comfortable working with senior managers and reporting back to them
Friendly and approachable individuals, this is important for team fit
Data sharing

BACKGROUND:
Candidates with experience working on large transformation projects or having worked within digital/technical areas.
This is a very technical role working with developers and data architects, such that a lack of exposure in this area would ultimately cause them delays in hitting the ground running
We are looking for individuals who can work confidently with ambiguity. This is an enabling function, such that managing risk requires thinking outside of the box.
Candidates should show flexibility with their solutions to ensure delivery, this is an important part of the role.

NOTE:
Experience that is too heavily security-focussed, the team is not looking for security/information assurance experts.
Information security experience alongside the data protection experience is absolutely fine, however this should not be the candidates’ predominant or sole experience
