Description

• Manage data protection compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations such as GDPR.
• Provide legal advice and support across various business functions.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts to mitigate risks and protect the organisation's interests.
• Handle legal disputes and liaise with external counsel when necessary.
• Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures.
• Conduct data protection impact assessments and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on data protection and legal matters.
• Monitor changes in legislation and advise the organisation on necessary adjustments.

Profile

A successful Data Protection Officer and Legal Counsel should have:

• A strong understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR.
• Proven experience in a legal advisory role, ideally within the FMCG sector.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage legal risks effectively and provide practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to advise and train internal stakeholders.
• A legal qualification and membership of a recognised professional body.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £80,000 to £90,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Permanent position based in London.
