Day Shift Warehouse Operator

Location: Paisley, Renfrewshire
Salary: £29,473.60 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:30am - 6:00pm

As a Warehouse Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse, supporting the movement of goods from receipt through to dispatch.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating mechanical handling equipment, including Counterbalance forklift trucks
• Safely unloading delivery vehicles while ensuring all goods are handled with care
• Storage of goods safely and efficently in accurate warehouse locations
• Using handheld RF scanners to accurately book in inbound stock and maintain inventory accuracy
• Identifying and reporting any shortages, damaged goods or stock discrepancies
• Carrying out manual handling tasks safely and in line with company procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily productivity and service targets

To be successful, you'll have:

• Experience in operating a counterbalance forklift truck
• Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience, or transferable skills from a similar environment
• A strong work ethic with a reliable employment history
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• The ability to undertake manual handling duties in a fast-paced environment
• Experience operating warehouse equipment is advantageous, although training may be provided
