Day time support worker

Role: Temporary Residential Support Worker - Days
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Location: Near Weston-super-Mare
Contract/Hours: Temporary, Full Time or Part Time hours

About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you'll help maintain a safe, calm, and supportive home environment. You'll carry out welfare checks, respond to emotional and practical needs, support daily routines, and contribute to the smooth running of the service. The role also includes completing household tasks, maintaining accurate records, supporting care plans, and ensuring effective communication between shifts. Your positive and consistent presence will help young people feel secure and supported.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 07:30am - 8:30pm or 09:30am - 09:30pm.

Shorter shifts may be available on request.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support care planning and risk management processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
• Encourage participation in activities, skill development, and independence-building opportunities.
• Provide support with personal care, communication needs, medication administration, and clinical procedures where required.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to effective handovers.
• Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times.

About You:
We're looking for individuals who are patient, resilient, compassionate, and committed to helping young people achieve positive outcomes.

• Experience working with children or young people in a care, support, or residential setting.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to follow care plans and guidance.
• Good understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
