Electrical Day Shift Engineer

Location: City of London
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days Only
Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm (11-hour shifts)
Overtime: Available

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a well-established and highly regarded organisation operating within a prestigious commercial environment in the City of London.

You will work as part of a professional engineering team responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of electrical building services across a high-profile site.

The Role

As an Electrical Day Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.
• Ensuring electrical systems and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
• Responding to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
• Completing routine inspections and testing.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Supporting the wider engineering and facilities team.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.
• Working proactively to identify potential issues before they become major faults.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
• Previous experience working within a commercial building services or facilities maintenance environment.
• Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills.
• A good understanding of health & safety requirements.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.
• A professional and proactive approach to maintenance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
