Dealership Accountant

We are seeking a professional and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our client's prestigious independent automotive dealership located in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The ideal individual will have a strong background in automotive accounting, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach.

Duties of the Dealership Accountant:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Process payroll for all employees
  • Process sales and purchase invoices
  • Maintain accurate financial records ensuring compliance with company procedures
  • Support the business with general accounting and financial administration duties
Requirements of the Dealership Accountant:
  • Proven experience within an automotive accounts role or similar
  • Relevant accountancy qualifications
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of VAT returns and payroll processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT and financial administration skills as the Dealership Accountant
  • A professional, reliable, and proactive attitude
