Location: Consett

Hours: Days and Nights rotating
06:00 – 18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00
4 Days / 7 off / 4 Nights / 7 Off

Pay: £13.68 per hour days + £16.93 per hour nights

AMLR are looking for an Deburrer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Consett. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performance manufacturing environment, carrying out the dressing and finishing of aircraft components to high-quality standards and close tolerances.

Key responsibilities for Deburrer:

  • Dressing and finishing aircraft components to the required specification and quality standards.
  • Using pneumatic tooling to deburr and dress aircraft parts.
  • Using a variety of hand and bench tools for drilling and finishing operations.
  • Working with a variety of materials, predominantly aluminium.
  • Carrying out close-tolerance work with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensuring all components meet the required quality standards before progressing to the next stage of production.
  • Maintaining and communicating an effective shift handover.
  • Following all relevant health, safety, quality and company procedures.
  • Working effectively as part of a team within a busy aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Carrying out any other duties within the job holder’s skills and capabilities as requested by Management.

Requirements for Deburrer:

  • Previous experience working in a similar manufacturing or engineering role, ideally 2–3 years (desirable).
  • Previous experience using a variety of hand and bench tools (essential).
  • Experience working with aluminium or other materials within a manufacturing environment (desirable).
  • Ability to work accurately to close tolerances and detailed specifications.
  • Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to provide and receive effective shift handovers.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a shift-based manufacturing environment.
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (desirable).
  • HNC / HND / NVQ or equivalent qualification in Engineering (desirable).
