Turn a conversation into a confirmed event booking. If you enjoy engaging people, handling objections and seeing your outreach deliver results, this role gives you a clear focus: bringing senior HR and People leaders to Working Futures events.
This is a high-volume outbound sales role, with clear activity and booking objectives. You’ll draw on a substantial data pool built over 14 years to research relevant contacts, develop opportunities and strengthen your prospecting and conversion skills.
About Working Futures
Working Futures brings senior HR and People leaders together through events, insight and business connections, helping them explore workplace challenges and find relevant solutions. You’ll help prospective delegates understand how attending an event could support their priorities.
What you’ll do
- Research and approach prospective delegates through outbound calls, email and LinkedIn.
- Ask relevant questions and explain how each event connects with a prospective delegate’s priorities.
- Handle objections, build interest and convert conversations into confirmed bookings.
- Manage follow-up and registrations, keeping accurate and useful CRM records.
- Work towards activity and booking targets, reviewing your conversion rates and adapting your approach.
You’ll report to the delegate team leader and take ownership of your outreach, follow-up and booking results.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in outbound sales, telesales, appointment setting or delegate acquisition.
- Confidence starting conversations and engaging senior professional contacts.
- Examples of converting outreach into appointments, registrations or comparable results.
- Practical CRM experience and an organised approach to follow-up.
- Resilience, initiative and the ability to work independently towards agreed objectives.
Experience in events or the HR sector is desirable, rather than essential. Your ability to engage people, follow through and demonstrate consistent sales results matters most.
Your earning potential
The role offers a £27,000 to £30,000 basic salary, with realistic first-year OTE of £50,000 to £60,000, including basic salary and commission.
What to expect from the interview process
The process starts with a live video interview with our recruitment partner, followed by a live video interview with the hiring manager at Working Futures.
For stage two, you’ll prepare a three-to-five-minute pitch explaining how you would build your delegate pipeline over your first four weeks, three months and six months.
