The business we're working with is a highly-regarded garden centre group, and they're looking for a motivated senior department supervisor to support the running of their seasonal & outdoor furniture department in one of their larger sites.

About the role

As a department supervisor, you will support the manager in taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the department. You'll help lead, develop, and motivate your team, while ensuring the seasonal department runs smoothly and to a high standard, as well as covering for the department manager when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting in leading and developing the team to deliver excellent service and great results
• Seasonal planning and setting retail standards
• Delivering sales targets and meeting KPI's
• Supporting the wider team day-to-day
• Providing advice to customers and setting high service standards
• Maintaining standards through creative and attractive merchandising, stock presentation, and promotional execution

The ideal candidate

• Supervisory experience in a similar retail environment
• Hands-on and a proactive attitude
• A passion for customer service
• Product knowledge of seasonal products, including Christmas and outdoor furniture is desired
