Southampton | Permanent | £35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

Are you an experienced automotive professional looking for a role where you can take ownership of a busy depot and lead a small, skilled team?

We’re recruiting for a Depot Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of an established automotive depot in Southampton.

This is a varied role covering team management, sales, customer service, stock control and general depot operations. You’ll be responsible for keeping the depot running efficiently while helping drive sales and delivering excellent customer service.

The Role

As Depot Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operation of the depot and manage a team of around 4–5 fitters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting a team of 4–5 fitters
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the depot
• Managing workflow
• Handling customer enquiries and driving sales
• Building strong customer relationships
• Managing stock levels
• Ensuring the depot is well stocked and organised
• Monitoring team performance and productivity
• Supporting the team to deliver high standards of workmanship and service
• Helping maximise sales and profitability
• Taking ownership of the overall performance of the depot

About You

We’re looking for someone with previous experience within the automotive, tyre, fast-fit, workshop or related industry who has the confidence to lead a team and take responsibility for a depot.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Strong automotive industry knowledge
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A commercial and sales-focused mindset
• Experience with stock control and ordering
• The ability to manage and motivate a small team
• Strong organisational skills
• A hands-on, proactive approach
• The ability to work well in a busy environment

What's on Offer?

• £35,000 - £45,000 DOE 
• Bonus scheme
• Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00
• Alternate Saturdays, 08:00-13:00
• Permanent position
