We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join a well-established nursing and residential care service in Darlington.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated care professional to work closely with the Home Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the service while helping to deliver exceptional, person-centred care. You'll play a key role in leading teams, maintaining compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement throughout the home.

The Role

As Deputy Home Manager, you will support the effective management of the service and ensure residents receive the highest quality of care and support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the operational management of the home
  • Leading, coaching and motivating care teams
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and accountable working environment
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and best practice standards
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and staff development
  • Conducting audits and monitoring service quality
  • Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents and investigations appropriately
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals
  • Deputising for the Home Manager when required

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Previous leadership experience within a nursing or residential care environment
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing teams, performance and service delivery
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Good IT and report-writing skills
  • A flexible approach and willingness to participate in an on-call rota
