Domus Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager on behalf of a well-established provider of residential and supported living services for adults with complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that supports adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical or sensory disabilities.

You'll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the service, support the staff team, and ensure outstanding, person-centred care is delivered every day.

The service is a small residential home supporting adults with Learning disabilities and Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Lead shifts and ensure high standards of care and support.
  • Supervise, coach and develop Team Leaders and Support Workers.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas and shift planning.
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding and medication systems.
  • Complete audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals and local authorities.
  • Support recruitment, inductions, supervisions and staff development.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.

About You:
We're keen to speak with experienced Deputy Managers, strong Team Leaders ready to take the next step, or Senior Support Workers with leadership experience.

To be successful, you'll have:
  • Previous leadership experience within adult social care.
  • Experience supporting adults with complex needs.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and risk management.
  • Experience managing staff, rotas and day-to-day service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • A calm, resilient and person-centred approach.
  • A Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable).

Working Pattern
This is a full-time, 40-hour position comprising:
  • 20 hours delivering direct, hands-on support.
  • 20 hours undertaking leadership and administrative responsibilities.

The service operates 24/7, so flexibility to work across a rota, including evenings, weekends and on-call duties, is required.
