The Role
As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides outstanding care, safeguarding and support for the children who live there.
You'll be a visible leader, role model and mentor, helping to create a positive culture where both children and colleagues can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the home
- Leading shifts and managing operational priorities
- Coaching, mentoring and developing staff
- Ensuring safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do
- Supporting Ofsted readiness and regulatory compliance
- Completing audits and quality assurance activities
- Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people
- Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
- Participating in the management on-call rota
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
✔ Experience within Children's Residential Care
✔ Experience supervising or leading teams
✔ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
✔ Strong safeguarding knowledge
✔ A passion for improving outcomes for children
✔ Excellent communication and leadership skills
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Previous Deputy Manager experience
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it)
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
- Experience driving service improvements and quality standards
