The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the effective day-to-day running of the home and ensure young people receive consistently high-quality care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Working alongside the Home Manager in all aspects of running the home, including compliance, safeguarding, quality assurance and financial planning.
* Leading and inspiring the team through effective supervision, appraisals, professional development and training.
* Managing the home effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager.
* Ensuring the home provides a safe, welcoming and homely environment.
* Maintaining high standards of care and promoting positive outcomes for young people.
* Managing health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
* Ensuring the team's training remains up to date and compliant with requirements.
* Liaising with professionals and contributing to effective care planning.
* Acting as a positive role model for both staff and the young people in our care.

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and confident leader who is committed to supporting looked-after children and young people to achieve their potential.

Essential Requirements

* Full UK manual driving licence.
* Level 3 qualification in the Children's and Young People's Workforce.
* At least 1 year's experience as a Senior Residential Care Worker within a children's home setting.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* The ability to build trusting and positive relationships with staff and young people.
* The ability to act as a strong and positive role model for looked-after children.
* Genuine care and compassion for working with children and young people.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays.
