Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Do you have experience in a Senior Nursery Practitioner position?
We are recruiting for a Deputy Room Leader to join our team at our Northwood Hills branch. We are set next to a beautiful farm on Joel Street and are very accessible via Public Transport being around a 7 minute walk from the station and the bus stop is right outside the nursery.
This role is full time, working 40 hours per week – working a variety of shifts between the hours of 7:30am-6pm.
A little about Us:

- We are really passionate about the Montessori ethos and we provide in house training as well as supporting staff to complete courses to further their knowledge.

A day working with us would include:
- Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
- Ensuring the children are happy, settled and content.
- Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
- Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
- Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.
- Leading a team in the absence of the Room Leader, encouraging and raising practice daily.
- Delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth running of the room.
- Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e.g., activities/planning
- Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.
What we would ask from you:
A full and relevant Childcare qualification at a minimum of Level 3.
Previous experience of working as a Room Leader is essential.
Having good ICT skills is essential.
Being a positive role model to your team.
Effectively lead and manage the staff team in the classrooms.
An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS, Ofsted and welfare requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working.
