Deputy Quality Assurance Manager
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:15pm | Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Slinfold - due to the location you must have access to your own transport
The Role
Talented People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Deputy Quality Assurance Manager to join their established team.
Working closely with the Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining quality standards across the business, with responsibility for QMS, auditing, supplier quality, compliance, inspections and Health & Safety.
This is a varied, hands-on position and would suit someone with a strong Quality background within manufacturing or an electro-mechanical environment who is looking to take on more responsibility.
Strong ISO 9001:2015 experience and knowledge is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Manage QMS internal audits and support BSI, customer and supplier audits.

Monitor supplier quality, performance, rejections, corrective actions and KPIs.

Investigate customer complaints, returns and non-conformances, including 8D reporting.

Complete quality, compliance and environmental questionnaires including RoHS, REACH, CMRT, EMRT, POPs, PFAS and PROP65.

Maintain QMS documentation, work instructions, calibration records and inspection equipment.

Carry out goods-in, in-process and final inspections when required.

Support Health & Safety requirements alongside the Quality Manager.

Deputise for the Quality Manager when required, including supporting and training the wider QA team.
Qualifications and Experience:

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 – essential.

ISO 9001:2015 Auditor qualification.

Knowledge of EN 9120:2018.

Quality experience within a manufacturing or electro-mechanical environment.

Experience with dimensional inspection and calibration equipment.

Experience with 8D investigations, corrective actions and quality compliance.

Strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
-
IOSH or Health & Safety experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
