Design Coordinator
Hill & Hill Recruitment Ltd
Design Coordinator – Drylining
Want to step away from just producing drawings and actually be at the centre of the design process?
This is a great opportunity to take on a project-focused Design Coordinator role with a small but growing drylining subcontractor, where you will be right in the middle of the action rather than stuck behind a screen.
You will be working on a £4M drylining and SAS ceiling installation project, acting as the key link between external design consultants and the client’s Design Manager. This is very much a coordination role, keeping the process moving, spotting issues early, and making sure everything is aligned on site.
The business itself is growing steadily and sensibly. They are not trying to get too big too quickly, which means you will get real visibility, responsibility, and the chance to make an impact without being lost in a large team.
You will still use your technical understanding of drylining and design, but this role is less about sitting on CAD all day and more about managing the flow of information, attending meetings, and ensuring buildability is considered at every stage.
There is also a level of flexibility that is not always offered in subcontracting, with a balance between site, office, and some home working depending on the demands of the project.
If you understand drylining, can read drawings with confidence, and are looking to step into a more involved, coordination-led position, this is a brilliant move.
