Design Coordinator

Location: Mayfair, London (Office Based)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits

An established and growing main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Coordinator to join its team based in Mayfair.

Specialising in the delivery of prestigious, high-end construction projects across London, this business has built an excellent reputation for quality, attention to detail and delivering exceptional schemes. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative team working on technically challenging projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Working closely with the Design Manager, Project Managers and Site Teams, you will coordinate the design process across multiple projects, ensuring information is delivered accurately, on programme and in line with project requirements.

You will act as the link between consultants, subcontractors and the delivery team, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

• Coordinate design information from pre-construction through to project completion.
• Manage the flow of drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors and client teams.
• Review design information for buildability, coordination and compliance.
• Monitor design programmes and ensure key deliverables are achieved.
• Attend design team, client and project coordination meetings.
• Identify design clashes and work collaboratively to resolve technical issues.
• Support the procurement and construction teams with technical information.
• Maintain document control and ensure all revisions are accurately distributed.
• Assist with value engineering and design development where appropriate.
• Ensure design information complies with current Building Regulations and project requirements.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Design Coordinator within the construction industry.
• Experience working for a main contractor on high-quality construction projects.
• Strong understanding of the design management process.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and common document management platforms.
• A construction-related qualification would be advantageous.
