On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for multiple Design Engineers for 12 month contracts at our clients' Bristol facility (hybrid).

Due to a significant increase in demand across our business, we're expanding our team with multiple opportunities available. These roles have been created to support a number of exciting change and transformation initiatives, while also aligning our resources to meet current and future business needs

Purpose of the Role

  • Design and develop components and assemblies within gas turbine engine programmes.
  • Produce and modify 3D models and engineering definitions using NX CAD, supporting both new product introduction (NPI) and modifications to existing products.
  • Collaborate closely with subsystem teams, manufacturing engineers, and a wide range of stakeholders to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions.
  • Investigate design challenges, identify root causes of technical issues, and develop practical solutions.

As an Design Engineer, you will:

  • Create and modify 3D component and assembly models using NX CAD and associated engineering tools.
  • Design components within gas turbine engine structures and casings, supporting civil aerospace programmes.
  • Deliver design modifications to existing products.
  • Engage proactively with subsystem teams and stakeholders across the business to understand design requirements and technical constraints.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and support efficient production.
  • Investigate design issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective engineering solutions.
  • Produce and maintain engineering documentation, models, drawings, and technical definitions.
  • Support design reviews and contribute technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing solutions and identifying opportunities to enhance product performance and design processes.
