Varied opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer within a fantastic manufacturer part of a wider group.

Design a range of assemblies of components and parts to form a final product.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer who is looking for a varied position that will see you support with assembly and schematic designs, in addition to wider problem solving, testing duties etc. Knowledge of Solidworks CAD package is ideal, but we can look at wider packages too.
Salary & Package: c£40,000 basic + bonus + 26 days holiday (+ banks)
Hours: Flexible hours - 36.5 hour week
This Design Engineer job will suit:

An experienced Engineer who is inquisitive and enjoys problem solving.

Design experience within the Oil & Gas / Renewables sectors would be ideal, but we are open on background for the right character.

Specific assembly, schematics, pumps, hydraulics design experience would be useful.

The role is around 80% CAD focused, with wider projects, testing, documentation forming the wider aspects to the role.

The Mechanical Design Engineer job will involve:

Produce detailed 3D CAD drawings for assemblies, including pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Design and develop custom bracketry, couplings and mounting arrangements assemblies.

Generate job-specific technical documentation packages including drawings, reports and certification.

Support and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) processes and maintain accurate FAT records and serial logs.

Provide technical guidance to workshop, manufacturing and assembly teams during build preparation.
