Are you a mechanically minded Design Engineer with a passion for precision engineering and product development?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer supplying engineered products to global industrial markets — where quality, reliability and innovation are at the core of everything they do.
The Role
You’ll join a close-knit engineering team responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies — from concept through to manufacture. Working with CNC-machined parts, enclosures and precision fittings, you’ll turn ideas into robust, cost-effective, production-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities

Create and develop mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software

Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and documentation

Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs are optimised for machining and assembly

Support prototype builds, testing and product validation

Drive continuous improvement of existing designs for performance and cost

Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality and procurement
About You
-
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

Solid experience designing machined components and assemblies
-
Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)

Strong understanding of materials, tolerancing and manufacturing processes (CNC, turning, milling)

Hands-on approach with an eye for detail and problem-solving

Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
