You'll take a design from a sketched idea through to a fully detailed, production ready drawing. Every calculation, tolerance, and standard you apply matters, and your accuracy is what keeps things right first time. As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Produce layout, assembly, and detailed drawings from initial concepts through to full completion
  • Hold design reviews and progress designs against key requirements and specifications
  • Apply Design for Manufacture and Value Engineering techniques to ensure a smooth transition into production
  • Select appropriate third party components and produce costing sheets for proposed designs
  • Formulate technical specifications and ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and standards

As a Design Engineer, your experience will include:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Mechanical design experience, including pneumatic equipment and circuit design
  • Strong working knowledge of 2D CAD, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Ability to produce accurate detailed drawings and dimensioning to ISO standards
  • Commissioning and site experience, with strong problem solving skills
