Are you a Design Engineer with a SolidWorks or sheet metal background looking to work on cutting-edge data centre projects across Europe, while joining a company that values its staff, provides specialist industry training and offers clear opportunities to progress into senior management roles?

This company specialises in bespoke aisle containment and physical infrastructure security, supplying data centre operators and M&E contractors across Europe on high-security, technically advanced projects.

In this role, you will lead the design team while remaining hands-on with SolidWorks design and engineering, producing sheet metal fabrications for large-scale data centre installations. Working closely with project managers, you will oversee projects from initial design through to completion, with regular travel across the UK and Europe to visit state-of-the-art data centre facilities.

This role would suit a Design Engineer with a SolidWorks or sheet metal background looking to take on a leadership position, work on cutting-edge data centre infrastructure and progress into senior management.

The Role:

• Using solidworks to produce sheet metal fabrications for data centre projects
• Leading the design team, assigning projects and ensuring that all work is completed
• Travel across the UK and Europe up to 3 times a month with paid stay away
• Hybrid work

The Person:

• Design Engineer or similar with a background in SolidWorks or sheet metal design
• Happy with traveling across Europe up to 3 times a month
• Full UK drivers license
• Commutable to Cambridge
