Design Manager

Buildings & Technology Main Contractor, delivering complex Industrial & Technology Projects in Belgium. This specific project is a Multi-Million $USD project for an International client.

We are seeking a proactive Design Manager to join our project team on a fast-paced building in Belgium.

Working for a leading main contractor, you will play a key role in managing the design process ensuring designs are coordinated, buildable, and delivered to program.

Working with the supply chain to find WIN's for all parties. You will enjoy working in a team and feeling part of something.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the design process across all project stages.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the site delivery team to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Review design information to ensure compliance 
• Identify and resolve design issues proactively to minimize delays and risks
• Chair design team meetings and monitor progress against agreed deliverables
• Ensure all design information is issued accurately and in line with the construction program
• Support value engineering and buildability reviews throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Experience as a Design coordinator / Manager with a main OR PMC on building projects
• Strong understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
