Design Manager – High Rise Project

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a major high-rise construction project in London, with a total project value of £60m+.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to delivery
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors
• Review and manage design information, drawings and technical submissions
• Ensure design packages are delivered in line with the construction programme
• Manage RFIs, design changes and technical queries
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team
• Ensure design solutions are practical, buildable and commercially viable
• Monitor design progress and identify potential issues or delays
• Attend design and coordination meetings
• Manage multiple design packages and deadlines
• Ensure design information complies with project requirements and relevant standards

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Design Manager on major construction projects
• High-rise / large-scale residential experience highly advantageous
• Strong technical and design coordination background
• Main contractor or major subcontractor experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines
• Relevant construction/design qualifications
