Design Technology Teacher

Grade A Recruitment are working with a school on the outskirts of Peterborough who are looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher / Instructor on a full-time basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology professional to join a supportive school environment. The role will involve teaching Design Technology up to GCSE level and is initially offered as a 12-week temporary position, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

Trial days are taking place now for suitable applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons up to GCSE level
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Ensure all practical activities are delivered safely and in line with health and safety requirements
• Contribute to the wider success of the department

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher, Instructor or relevant Design Technology professional
• Experience teaching or delivering Design Technology up to GCSE level
• D&T Association (DATA) Health & Safety accreditation
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to engage and inspire learners
• Passion for Design Technology and pupil achievement
