Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Development Chef to continually evolve its food offer and deliver meaningful innovation to clients.

This role focuses on shaping new food concepts that align with business needs, while contributing to the mobilisation of new contracts and supporting overall business growth.
The Development Chef will play a key role in inspiring culinary teams, driving high food standards and supporting craft training across the business, ensuring consistency, creativity and operational excellence across food services.
Job Description
The Development Chef is integral to delivering the organisation’s food services strategy. You will work closely with operational teams to implement new ideas, embed best practice and support the successful delivery of food concepts across multiple client environments.
You will also support new business activity, contributing to tenders and mobilisations, while mentoring chefs and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, develop and implement current food trends and ideas into the business
- Identify areas of craft development and deliver required training across culinary teams
- Develop a culture of sharing best practice and continuously elevating food standards
- Support the mobilisation of new contracts with relevant food concepts and standards
- Evaluate proposed or required service changes, assessing financial, personnel and operational implications
- Inspire and mentor chefs to support skills development and succession planning
- Ensure nominated suppliers are used for all relevant food supplies
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures relating to food safety, operations management and recruitment
Person Specification
- Proven senior chef experience
- Strong coaching and mentoring capability with the ability to drive results
- 7061/7062 or equivalent qualifications in food preparation and production
- Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (or equivalent)
- Passion for food and service excellence
- Strong communication skills
- Commercial understanding with a proven track record
- Experience supporting tendering, mobilisation and the implementation of new food concepts
