DevOps Engineer - AWS - SC Cleared

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the development, automation and ongoing operation of a large-scale core cloud platform within a major UK government environment.

The role will sit within a highly technical cloud engineering function responsible for building secure, resilient and scalable platform services used by multiple digital delivery teams.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working in complex, security-conscious environments and can contribute quickly within an established cloud platform team.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure within AWS.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Support the deployment and operation of Kubernetes-based platform services.
• Create and maintain automation tooling using Python.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.

Essential experience

• Active SC clearance
• Strong commercial experience working as a DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineer.
• Deep practical experience with AWS.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with live, business-critical cloud services.
