We are recruiting a DFG Surveyor to join a respected social housing group in Essex delivering essential adaptations and improvement works across the community. As a DFG Surveyor, you will play a key role in assessing properties, managing Disabled Facilities Grant applications, and ensuring vulnerable residents can remain safe and independent in their homes. DFG Surveyor key responsibilities include:
  • Managing Disabled Facilities Grant cases from referral through to completion
  • Carrying out property inspections and technical assessments
  • Preparing schedules of work and specifications for adaptations
  • Overseeing contractors and ensuring works are completed to a high standard
  • Providing technical advice to residents, families, and partner agencies
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation, health and safety standards, and organisational procedures
  • Supporting service improvement and maintaining accurate project records
  • Working closely with Occupational Therapists and external stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes for residents
The successful DFG Surveyor will have:
  • Experience delivering Disabled Facilities Grant or housing adaptation projects
  • Strong knowledge of housing construction, repairs, and building regulations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
  • A relevant surveying, construction, or technical qualification
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
