We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a reputable, family-run dealership group in Swansea. Benefits for the successful Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Up to £18 per hour (£36,500 per annum), dependent on experience.
  • Performance-based VHC bonus of up to £2,000 annually.
  • Overtime paid at time and a half, subject to availability.
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Full in-house and manufacturer-accredited training programmes.

  • Flexibility to opt into Saturday morning rota, paid at 1.5x rate.
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm.
Duties of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct accurate diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Complete all work to manufacturer and industry standards, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, where applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair progress.
  • Ensure all diagnostic processes and repairs are documented comprehensively.
  • Follow health and safety procedures during all workshop activities.
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship in a busy workshop environment.
  • To develop and maintain technical knowledge, supporting continuous improvement.
Requirements of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician within a dealership or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electronics and fault diagnostic techniques.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Motivated with a professional attitude and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work consistently in a busy setting.
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development.
