We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established dealership in Birmingham for a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician. Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
  • Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and warranty repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Utilising advanced diagnostic equipment to identify intermittent and complex issues
  • Supporting and mentoring junior technicians within the workshop team
  • Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to high quality standards
  • Working on a variety of vehicle makes, including hybrid and electric models
  • Maintaining safety and compliance standards while delivering excellent customer service
Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician, preferably within a franchised or professional workshop environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
  • Demonstrable fault-finding capability in complex systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Positive attitude and ability to mentor others
