We are currently seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a reputable main dealership in Leicester. Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct complex diagnostics, warranty, and repair tasks across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Use the latest diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately and efficiently
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work to manufacturer standards, including EV and hybrid vehicle servicing where qualified
  • Assist in training and mentoring Apprentice Technicians, supporting their professional development
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Contribute to achieving high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Recognised Diagnostic qualification
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Mechanic is preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic expertise with excellent fault-finding skills
  • Effective communicator with a team-oriented approach
  • High standards of safety, workmanship, and problem-solving abilities
  • Enthusiasm for ongoing technical training and development
  • Manufacturer experience is desirable but not essential, as transferable skills and qualifications from different automotive brands are valued and supported through ongoing training
