DIGITAL DESIGN COORDINATOR — BEDFORD

Fairmead are currently recruiting a Digital Design Coordinator on a permanent basis on behalf of our client, a specialist construction logistics and temporary works contractor delivering a major long-term scheme in Bedford.

Overview of role

• Location: Bedford
• Permanent, on a multi-year project
• Producing CAD drawings, site logistics plans and CDM boundary layouts for construction logistics and temporary works
• Swept path analysis for construction vehicles, plant movements and access
• Visualisations, 3D representations and phasing plans to support works planning and stakeholder engagement
• Sitting in client design brief meetings with the principal contractor and design teams, reviewing proposed works against live site operations
• Flagging design risks early and keeping revisions, approvals and documentation in order

Requirements

• Background as a Design Coordinator, CAD Technician or similar within construction, logistics or temporary works
• Strong AutoCAD, with swept path analysis and site logistics layouts under your belt
• Solid grasp of construction logistics and site constraints
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations in the design process
• Able to juggle several projects at once and talk comfortably with clients, contractors and consultants
• Full UK driving licence

Advantageous

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural Technology
• BIM and digital construction experience
• Temporary works or traffic management design coordination
