Digital Print Finisher

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience and shift pattern)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Digital Print Finisher to join a busy commercial print production team. You'll be responsible for the final stage of the production process, ensuring printed products are finished accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain digital finishing equipment including guillotines, laminators, folders, creasers, perfect binders, booklet makers and digital cutting tables (such as Zünd, Summa or Kongsberg).
  • Finish both small and large format print to customer specifications.
  • Trim, weed, mount and apply self-adhesive vinyl graphics to a variety of substrates.
  • Produce signage, POS displays, exhibition graphics, banners, labels, window graphics and promotional materials.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure colour consistency, alignment and finishing accuracy.
  • Read job tickets, artwork instructions and production schedules to meet production deadlines.
  • Package completed work ready for dispatch.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, report faults and maintain accurate production records.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping while following Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within commercial print, digital print, bindery, signage or large format production.
  • Experience operating digital print finishing machinery.
  • Good understanding of commercial print production processes.
  • Basic IT skills and the ability to work with digital workflows.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude.
  • Experience with Zünd, Summa, Kongsberg or Esko systems would be advantageous.
  • Forklift licence, First Aid or Lean Manufacturing experience would be beneficial but are not essential.

Working Hours

  • Production operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Day shifts: 6:00am-6:00pm on a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Permanent night shifts available on either Monday-Thursday or Friday-Sunday 12-hour shift patterns.
  • Overtime may be required to meet business demands.
