Dimensional Engineer (GD&T) in Rubery

We looking for an experienced GD&T Specialist / Engineer to support Strip Tinning Automotive on a contract basis. This role will focus on making sure component drawings, tolerances and inspection requirements are clear, practical and fit for manufacture.
Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings and assess the application of GD&T.
- Define and refine datums, tolerance schemes and dimensional requirements.
- Identify tolerance issues that could affect assembly, function or manufacturability.
- Work with design, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional queries.
- Support inspection planning and help ensure drawings can be measured consistently.
- Communicate technical findings and recommended changes clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong practical experience applying GD&T to engineering drawings.
- A sound understanding of datum systems, tolerance stack-ups and how parts fit together.
- Experience working with manufacturing and inspection teams to resolve dimensional issues.
- The ability to work independently and make an immediate contribution.
- Automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
