A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is recruiting a Dimensional Inspector to join its Detail Inspection team on a permanent basis.

This is precise, important work. You'll be verifying safety-critical components used in aviation systems for fighter jets — the kind of role where your thoroughness and technical accuracy directly contribute to the integrity of the end product.

The Role

• Inspecting and testing components using a range of processes and techniques in accordance with quality assurance instructions and technical specifications

• Interpreting component drawings and test procedures to identify part numbers, drawing issues, ADRs, process specifications and surface finishes

• Generating and maintaining inspection documentation in line with company quality assurance policy

• Using SAP to record work in progress, track component batches, log locations and record non-conforming products

• Checking, maintaining and ensuring all inspection equipment remains within calibration

• Supporting continuous improvement and 5S activities across the department

• Flagging issues or changes to the Cell Leader where engineering or quality input is needed

• Supporting the training of new team members where appropriate

• Working in full compliance with H&S regulations including risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work

What We're Looking For

• Proven inspection experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

• Working knowledge of GDT (geometrical dimensional tolerancing)

• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Strong numeracy and geometry skills

• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office and SAP

• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and equipment

• Sound awareness of H&S policies and procedures

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

• Engineering apprenticeship preferred

• Aerospace background desirable

• AS9102 FAIR experience desirable

• CMM or equivalent experience beneficial
