Director, Housebuilding

Overview

Advance Northumberland is a diverse property investment and development business dedicated to driving investment, regeneration and economic growth across Northumberland through a number of business streams in commercial and residential property investment and development, and through its award-winning housebuilding brand, Ascent Homes.

The Chief Executive is now looking to appoint a Director of Ascent Homes to lead the housebuilding business and play a key strategic role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team across the wider organisation. Hawthorn Blue (a trading division of Corepeople) have been appointed to manage the appointment process on an exclusive basis.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Ascent Homes will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the successful delivery, commercial performance and sales.

Leading an experienced senior management team, the successful candidate will drive construction quality, programme delivery, sales performance and business growth while contributing to the wider strategic direction of Advance Northumberland as part of the Executive Leadership Team.

This is a highly delivery-focused leadership role with responsibility for maximising productivity, strengthening the Ascent Homes brand and ensuring continued growth.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant senior leadership experience within construction, and ideally within the housebuilding sector.
• A strong track record of successfully delivering and selling residential developments.
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience driving business performance and operational efficiency.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• The presence and credibility to contribute at Board and Executive Leadership Team level.
• A leadership style that aligns with Advance Northumberland's collaborative culture and values.
