Goodman Masson is currently working with a social housing organisation in London to recruit for an interim Director of Asset Management.
Pay - £700 - £800 Per Day
The Role
Reporting into the Executive Leadership Team, you'll provide strategic direction across Asset Management, Capital Investment and Compliance, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering long, medium and short-term asset investment strategies.
- Leading capital investment planned maintenance and retrofit programmes.
- Providing strategic oversight of property compliance and asset performance.
- Driving improvements in asset data quality to support investment decisions.
- Leading procurement and contract management of major investment programmes.
- Ensuring investment programmes deliver value for money whilst improving resident outcomes.
- Building strong relationships across the executive team, board members and external stakeholders.
- Leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams through change and continuous improvement.
- Presenting performance, investment and risk information to senior leadership and governance boards.
- Supporting organisational sustainability ambitions and future-proofing the housing portfolio.
About You
We're looking for a proven senior leader with significant experience within the social housing sector.
You'll be able to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience leading Asset Management within a Registered Provider or Local Authority.
- A strong understanding of strategic asset planning and investment.
- Experience delivering large-scale planned works and capital investment programmes.
- Knowledge of housing compliance, building safety and statutory obligations.
- Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing significant budgets and contractor performance.
- Strong understanding of asset data, stock condition information and business planning.
- Experience influencing Executive Teams and Boards.
- Outstanding leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A track record of driving organisational change and service improvement.
