Dispatch Operative

CareerMakers Recruitment are currently looking for a Dispatch Operative in Newton Abbott, TQ12.

Initial duties :

• Pick electrical products from warehouse stock according to customer orders.
• Check products, quantities and order details for accuracy before dispatch.
• Inspect goods for visible damage or defects and report any issues.
• Pack electrical goods securely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Prepare shipping labels, delivery notes and other required dispatch paperwork.
• Load and unload goods safely using appropriate equipment.
• Ensure fragile, heavy or specialist electrical items are handled and packaged appropriately.
• Update warehouse or stock-control systems accurately.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods.
• Work with couriers, drivers and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow company procedures for returns, damaged goods and delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and dispatch area.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Assist with stock checks and general warehouse duties when required.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday – Thursday, 7am - 4pm
• Friday, 7am - 12pm

• On going Work
• £12.71 per hour
• Temp to Perm
• 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
