Dispatch Operative at Voith Turbo Ltd, Beddington North

The Voith workshop in Croydon is involved in the maintenance repair and overhaul of mechanical equipment from the Rail, Marine, Power, Oil and Gas industries as well as some smaller sectors. 

Voith Turbo Limited is based in Croydon and supports our customers in these diverse sectors for the UK and Ireland markets.  As well as developing new build solutions with OEMs, Voith Turbo Limited offers full aftermarket support to our customers by way of spare parts supply as well as repair and overhaul services at our local workshop or at the customer location via our highly skilled workshop and field service workforce.

The dispatch operative is a key support role to the overhaul cells within our workshop, ensuring goods are moved safely to their required locations, ensuring they are packed and stacked correctly and efficiently. Customer goods are received into the workshop for repair and overhaul and then dispatched once complete, this role carries out these tasks including all paperwork checks etc.

Key Tasks:

• To ensure goods are correctly packaged and despatched according to specified procedures and standards.
• Maintaining Customer Stock goods in and Dispatch areas
• Moving stock and overhaul units around shop floor
• Prepare goods for despatch, ensuring they are suitably packed
• Maintenance of Stores/ Warehouse locations and other information
• Checking paperwork for accuracy
• Loading/unloading trucks with incoming/outgoing goods using a forklift truck
