Rotherwood Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Dispersed Housing Support Worker on behalf of a well-established organisation supporting vulnerable adults across Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping people achieve and maintain independent living.

This is a community-based role, supporting individuals living in dispersed accommodation across Preston, with regular travel to Chorley, Leyland and Fleetwood. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

The Role

As a Dispersed Housing Support Worker, you will manage your own caseload, providing practical and emotional support to individuals with a range of complex needs. You will help customers develop independent living skills, sustain their tenancy and access the services they need to move forward positively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients living in dispersed accommodation.
  • Complete support, needs and risk assessments.
  • Develop and review person-centred support plans.
  • Carry out regular welfare visits and property inspections.
  • Support clients to develop independent living and budgeting skills.
  • Assist with accessing benefits, healthcare, education and employment.
  • Liaise with housing providers, local authorities and external agencies.
  • Support clients to sustain their tenancy and move into long-term accommodation.
  • Monitor rent accounts and encourage timely payments.
  • Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, reports and support records.
  • Ensure properties meet health and safety standards and report repairs.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to positive outcomes.
  • Promote equality, inclusion and safeguarding at all times.
  • Work in line with organisational policies and professional standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within supported housing, homelessness, tenancy support or community-based support services.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Confident working with external agencies and partner organisations.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
